well, here's the new format. i'm not sure i really like it, but i can't seem to find anything else that i really like and i harldy feel like coding a site from scratch (or even halfway), so for now we're sticking with the simple and slightly colored page...
EDIT: i couldn't stand the red, white, and black. i've switched to this for the time being.
