right before Mass began in tocino (about an hour north) this truck drove up and dropped off a casket. two men jumped out and removed the casket and began to lash two long branches to it. i asked them what the deal was and they told me that someone had died in la cana and they needed to carry the casket up so they could bury him. fyi - la cana is a grueling 2.5 hour hike uphill. and to think we need a cart to get from the hearse to the church...
