The Missions: San Francisco and San José

Unless the mission is oriented by charity, that is, unless it springs from a profound act of divine love, it risks being reduced to mere philanthropic and social activity...Consequently, being missionaries means loving God with all one's heart, even to the point, if necessary, of dying for him. - Pope Benedict XVI

right now, this very second, i am biting into a pepperidge farm double chocholate chunk nantucket cookie. i can't tell you how good it is, courtesy of my sister, her husband, and their new baby...

update: after indulging on a few cookies, i opened the rest of my mail and just want to thank everyone who sent birthday and Christmas cards. i even got 2 aker's gazette's, birthday editions both...so thanks everyone - my spam light, gibble's bar-b-que potatoe chip, hershey's and dove chocolate, and davis sunflower seed inventory reaches the store room ceiling!
