The Missions: San Francisco and San José

Unless the mission is oriented by charity, that is, unless it springs from a profound act of divine love, it risks being reduced to mere philanthropic and social activity...Consequently, being missionaries means loving God with all one's heart, even to the point, if necessary, of dying for him. - Pope Benedict XVI

the teresitas are based on the english "little flowers" group for girls. we have two groups that meet and will be working on the virtues.

in addition there will be about 15 other Masses in the campos, plus the catechism in the campos, all the work in the school, hospital, sick visits, and the running of the parish. not to mention the great feast days and the yearly patronales. so, it looks like a solid lineup.
