The Missions: San Francisco and San José

Unless the mission is oriented by charity, that is, unless it springs from a profound act of divine love, it risks being reduced to mere philanthropic and social activity...Consequently, being missionaries means loving God with all one's heart, even to the point, if necessary, of dying for him. - Pope Benedict XVI

just two things: i took the moto out to the mount and found some promising sites, then watched a little baseball at the field, then came back here and tried to fix a lamp, then ate with a group of kids studying in the capital, and now i am totally bored. it is going to take some getting used to these slow days...in other matters, i forgot to mention that this morning at 2 am i heard this alarm going off, and it took a while before i found my spam c-beaner, watch, alarm, stopwatch, compass - didn't realize that it had an alarm...needless to say, i shut it down, but it is nice because i don't own any other time pieces and it is doing a good job...
