The Missions: San Francisco and San José

Unless the mission is oriented by charity, that is, unless it springs from a profound act of divine love, it risks being reduced to mere philanthropic and social activity...Consequently, being missionaries means loving God with all one's heart, even to the point, if necessary, of dying for him. - Pope Benedict XVI

i've made a decision: after eating goat and chicken twice yesterday, to extend my current chicken eating streak to 19 consecutive days, i have begun the process of buying two pigs - well, two piglets really. i'm buying a boy pig and a girl pig and then they will have little pigs and then i will feed them mangos and corn and then they will get big and fat and then i will cook them and then i will eat them. they only cost 10 bucks a piece, a great deal if you ask me, heck at this point i'd pay 100. maybe i'll by four and eat two right away...incidentally, if i happen to eat with any of you while i'm home and you don't feed me beef i will go apoplectic.
