The Missions: San Francisco and San José

Unless the mission is oriented by charity, that is, unless it springs from a profound act of divine love, it risks being reduced to mere philanthropic and social activity...Consequently, being missionaries means loving God with all one's heart, even to the point, if necessary, of dying for him. - Pope Benedict XVI

the world is a great place - i received two, count 'em, two, cases of the nectar of soda - dr pepper - direct from the factory - big thanks to stan10 for pulling it off. the last case he sent was stolen in sister and brother-in-law also came through with doritos and two decks of cards and a bunch of baseballs. unfortunately, the salt-and-vinegar lays bag was ripped. bummer. you've got to expect some casualties in this business. also received was a fourth of july gift pack with flags, stars, light sticks - i'm preparing the locals for a tremendous feast. thanks to everyone who sent stuff.
